Montessori

Beaufort Elementary offers the Montessori Program for grades kindergarten through fifth grade.  The Montessori philosophy has been linked to the teaching of critical thinking skills, developmentally appropriate instruction, multicultural curriculum, multisensory curriculum, integrated curriculum, and cooperative learning.  With Montessori, students actively learn with a prepared environment of attractive, carefully sequenced materials and engage in many independent tasks that they complete at their own pace.
