Beaufort Elementary School is a two story building that sits on a bluff overlooking the Beaufort River. Our attendance zone includes the historical district, the downtown Beaufort area and an extended area of neighborhoods designated by the Beaufort County Board of Education.

At Beaufort Elementary School, our mission is to promote academic growth and character development in a safe and engaging environment We challenge our students each day to reach their full potential as learners and citizens. Our school is unique in the multiple programs we support which  allow our students to have diverse experiences – academically, socially, and emotionally.

As a certified STEM school, we are very excited for the multiple opportunities our students have to share and develop their many talents in science, technology, engineering, and math. Our teachers work collaboratively to provide our students with a comprehensive program that educates the whole child through the use of hands-on and project- based instruction that engages and motivates learners. STEM/STEAM learning is integrated throughout the curriculum, allowing students to develop deeper understanding of content. With our emphasis on character development, we are moving forward in our quest to build responsible citizens who will go out each day and make a difference as they make the right choices.
