Computer Science - Ms. Ogle

Hello My Name Is...

Beth Ogle

1996: Bachelor of Arts: University of Tennessee, 2003: Elementary Education Certification: University of South Carolina, Upstate, 2012: Master's in Technology Education: Lesley University, 2016: Gifted and Talented Endorsement

I'm originally from Spartanburg, SC.  I've spent time teaching in the Upstate, in the Raleigh area, and I've spent the last few years teaching in the Low Country.  I enjoy reading, exploring new places, and collecting shells.

This is my first year at Beaufort Elementary. I teach computer science to all grade levels. During computer science we learn computer programming concepts and how to code using a visual programming language (Blockly) via the program Code.org. We learn parts of the computer and the difference between hardware and software. We also practice keyboarding skills and apply these skills to creating, storing, and sharing documents.
